Keiko Tanabe

Mostly self-taught, Keiko began her professional art career in 2005, and in the same year discovered the joy of plein air painting while taking a workshop with Alvaro Castagnet. Since then, her paintings have been juried into many exhibitions across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Her work is in many private and corporate collections around the world.

Since 2011, Keiko has successfully completed hundreds of workshops and live demonstrations around the world. She has four DVD’s, nine self-published books, and her work has been featured in numerous recognized art magazines. She is a sought-after instructor and exhibition juror and has judged major exhibits such as Watercolor USA Honor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America, Splash 22, International Watercolour Masters, and many, many more.

Keiko has many other recognitions and important roles in the world of watercolor art and we are honored to welcome her as the judge and juror for the 54th River Road Show. Visit Keiko’s website: www.ktanabefineart.com.

In conjunction with the River Road Show, the Art Guild of Louisiana will be hosting a 3-day workshop by Keiko on August 16-18 in Baton Rouge. Get the details at www.artguildlouisiana.org/workshops.
